We Understand

When Patching Old Teeth Stops Working

Many people who ask us about All-on-4 have spent years repairing the same teeth: a crown here, a filling there, another extraction. Others have worn a denture for a long time and are tired of it moving when they talk. Either way, it wears on daily life in Round Rock:

  • Cutting food into small pieces, or skipping steak and corn on the cob
  • A denture that lifts when you laugh or needs adhesive every morning
  • Loose, sore or broken teeth that keep coming back for more work
  • Keeping your lips closed in photos and on video calls
  • Changes in how your face and lips are supported as the jawbone shrinks

None of this is a personal failing, and you will not be lectured here. Our job is to show you, on your own 3D scan, what can be done and what each choice involves.

About All-on-4

How All-on-4 Replaces a Full Arch of Teeth

All-on-4 uses four dental implants to hold one fixed bridge of teeth for a whole upper or lower jaw. Two implants sit upright near the front. The two at the back are tilted, which lets them reach firmer bone and often avoids a bone graft. The new teeth are fixed to the implants, so you do not take them out at night.

All-on-X is the umbrella name for the same idea with four or more implants. Some patients in Round Rock ask us about All-on-5 or All-on-6: these add one or two implants when the bone or the bite needs more support. Your CT scan shows which number fits your jaw. For an overview of the treatment across all our offices, see All-on-4 dental implants at myDental. If you are missing only one tooth or a few, our dental implants page for Round Rock covers single implants and bridges.

Could All-on-4 Be Right for You?

  • Most of the teeth in your upper or lower jaw are missing, loose or failing
  • You wear a full or partial denture and want teeth that do not move
  • You were told you do not have enough bone: the angled back implants and the CT scan often open options a regular implant plan cannot
  • Your general health, medicines and smoking are reviewed at the exam, because they affect healing

All-on-4 or Dentures: Which Fits You?

There is more than one way to replace a full arch. Here are the four choices we compare most often with Round Rock patients, from fixed teeth on implants to a regular removable denture.

All-on-4

Four implants hold a fixed full-arch bridge. The most common way to get fixed teeth when a whole arch needs replacing.

All-on-5 or All-on-6

The same fixed bridge on five or six implants, used when the jaw or a strong bite needs extra support.

Snap-In Implant Dentures

A denture that clicks onto a few implants. It holds much better than a regular denture, and you still take it out to clean it.

Regular Dentures

A removable set of teeth that rests on the gums. No surgery beyond any extractions, but it can slip and the bone keeps shrinking.

Full-arch options side by sideMore dots = better for you: steadier, better chewing, natural taste, more bone kept, easier care, less upkeep. A general guide; your scan and exam decide what fits you.

Still have some healthy teeth worth keeping? A partial plan may suit you better; start with our Round Rock dental implant options or our dentures page.

Where Are You Starting From?

Round Rock patients usually reach this page from one of two directions. Here is what each path looks like, and what your first visit checks either way.

Already Wearing Dentures?

Perhaps your denture lifts when you laugh, needs adhesive every morning, or leaves sore spots by the end of the day. Many people also find the list of foods they avoid getting longer.

Many people who wear dentures can switch to fixed teeth on implants. At your first visit we check your bone and gums and take a 3D CT scan, which shows whether there is room for implants and whether a graft would be part of the plan.

Facing the Loss of Your Remaining Teeth?

Maybe you have been repairing the same teeth for years and the repairs no longer hold. Deciding what comes next for the first time is a big step, and you do not have to make it alone.

A regular denture is not the only way forward. When your bone allows, the failing teeth are removed and the implants placed in the same visit, and you leave with temporary fixed teeth on surgery day. Your scan and plan show whether that is right for you.

The Process

Your Path to Fixed Teeth, Step by Step

Full-arch treatment takes careful planning, and you will know every step before anything starts. Your treatment plan explains each step and where it happens.

  1. Exam and 3D CT Scan

It starts at our Round Rock office. Your first visit is a consultation with a 3D CT scan; the offer box above shows how to book it. The 3D scan lets us measure your bone and see where implants can go. You get a written plan.

  2. Plan, Price and Payment

We go through the plan with you: one arch or both, four implants or more, the tooth material and your written price. Payment plans are explained in the same conversation.

  3. Surgery Day

Any failing teeth are removed and the implants are placed while you are numb, with sedation if you choose it. Before you go home, temporary fixed teeth are attached to the implants.

  4. Healing

You leave with temporary fixed teeth on surgery day. Most patients get their final teeth about 3 to 6 months later, once the implants have fused with the bone. Your timeline depends on your bone, healing and whether grafting is needed. You keep to a soft diet for the first weeks and come in for checkups.

  5. Your Final Teeth

Once the implants are solid, your final bridge is made and fitted, and your bite is checked. From then on it is daily brushing and regular cleanings with your Round Rock team.

Caring for Your New Teeth

Looking after fixed teeth is part of your daily routine, much like caring for natural teeth. Your Round Rock team shows you each step:

  • Brush twice a day, the way you brush natural teeth
  • Clean under the bridge daily with a water flosser or the tools your team recommends
  • Keep up with professional cleanings and checkups as your team advises
  • Choose soft foods for the first weeks while the implants settle
  • Call our Round Rock office if anything feels loose or sore

Feeling Nervous? Sedation Is Offered

Many full-arch patients have avoided the dentist for a long time, and that is fine. Sedation options are offered, and your team explains which is right for you at the exam.

Cost

What Does All-on-4 Cost in Round Rock?

Fixed All-on-4 teeth start from $14,900 per arch; premium zirconia teeth start from $19,900 per arch. One arch means one jaw, upper or lower. The price includes your consultation and CT scan, the extractions, the implants, your same-day temporary teeth and your final teeth. Sedation is available and quoted separately. You get your exact written price consultation and CT scan, before any treatment begins.

All-on-4 costs more up front than a regular denture. Over the years, though, a denture brings ongoing costs for adhesive, relines and replacements, while fixed teeth are an up-front investment in a long-term result.

These are the things that shape your plan and your price:

Implants per Arch

Four implants for All-on-4, or five to six for All-on-X when the bone needs more support.

One Arch or Both

Each jaw is its own arch. Treating upper and lower teeth means two arches.

Extractions

Removing the failing teeth is part of the price and usually happens on surgery day.

Bone Grafting

Not everyone needs it. If your scan shows you do, it is listed in your written plan.

Sedation

Optional and quoted separately, so you only pay for the comfort level you choose.

Tooth Material

Fixed All-on-4 teeth, or premium zirconia teeth for the final bridge.

Frequently Asked Questions

All-on-4 Questions From Round Rock Patients

Don’t see your question? Call our Round Rock office and we will talk it through with you.

At myDental, fixed All-on-4 teeth start from $14,900 per arch, and premium zirconia teeth start from $19,900 per arch. An arch is one jaw. That price covers the consultation and CT scan, extractions, implants, same-day temporary teeth and final teeth. Sedation is quoted separately, and bone grafting is added to your plan only if your scan shows you need it. You get the exact figure in writing consultation and CT scan.

Yes. Mention the offer when you book online or call us. Your consultation includes a 3D CT scan, and your team will review your current records with you.

The number is how many implants hold the arch. All-on-4 uses four, with the back two angled. All-on-5 and All-on-6 add one or two more, which can help when the bone is soft or the bite is strong. Together they are called All-on-X. The goal is the same fixed bridge of teeth; your CT scan decides how many implants are right.

Yes, in the sense that matters most: you do not go home without teeth. Temporary fixed teeth are attached on surgery day. They are not your final teeth. Those are made once the implants have fused with the bone, usually about 3 to 6 months later, depending on your bone, healing and whether grafting is needed.

Often, yes. The two back implants are tilted so they can use firmer bone further forward, which is why All-on-4 can work where regular implants would need grafting first. The 3D CT scan at your consultation shows exactly how much bone you have. If grafting is still needed, your plan says so before you decide.

The area is fully numb during surgery, and sedation options are offered; your team explains which is right for you. Soreness and swelling afterward are normal and are managed with the aftercare plan we give you. Learn more about sedation at myDental.

It is surgery, so there is healing time and a soft diet for the first weeks. It costs more than a regular denture. The bridge is fixed, so only your dental team can take it off for a deep clean at your checkups. Smoking and some health conditions slow healing. We go through these honestly at your exam so you can weigh them against the benefits.

Snap-in implant dentures use fewer implants and come out every night for cleaning; they cost less and hold much better than a regular denture. All-on-4 teeth stay in and feel closer to natural teeth when you chew. If you are deciding between them, we can show you both on your own scan.

The implants are designed to stay for many years with good care. The teeth on top take daily wear and may need repairs or replacing over time. Brush twice a day, clean under the bridge with a water flosser or special floss, wear a night guard if we recommend one, and keep your regular cleanings.

Many patients spread the cost. We offer flexible financing and payment plans, and our team helps you apply when you review your plan. You see your full written price first, so you can choose a payment option that fits your budget.
