TLDR: if youre looking for a dentist that will get you in and out quickly, do all the things in one go if they can, and do it for an extremely reasonable price, this could be an easy stop. Don't get your cavities filled here though. I've been struggling to find a proper dentist. I've been to about 3 or 4. It needs to be a balance between good admin staff, a good hygienist, and a good doctor. I don't feel like that's asking too much. At myDental, I appreciated the amenities, cleanliness, and transparency of the office/admin staff. Check-in was easy and call back was quick. They also provided me an insurance checked estimate of the cost of the visit, x-rays, and cleaning. The x-rays felt decently modern which I appreciate. The hygienist was a bit rough and didn't feel super thorough with the brush/polish tool. They sent a survey prior asking me my needs and my biggest need is transparency. I need to know which teeth you want to fill, which teeth you're watching, and what my situation is. I recognize that maybe everyone doesn't care, but I am active in my care and I hate not knowing what's being done in my mouth when I can't advocate for myself. He showed me 1 cavity but sort of glossed over the other 2. I find it hard to give doctors 100% trust these days for a couple of reasons. I like to see things with my own eyes. He did a scaling and was quite rough, as well. I felt that both the hygenist and doctor worked sort of rushed in my mouth. Well, a third women came in with very transparent estimates again and showed me which teeth, though these teeth didn't match which ones the doctor filled. I did get an explanation on what the issue with the teeth were and that was trustworthy based on where his instrument felt sticky on my teeth, but the fill job was so poor. The dentist made it feel like it was a competition to see how fast he could fill my cavities. I would've preferred a slower more calculating fill. What matters to me is how exacting that work was. I'll be frank I prefer when a doctor is very cautious and only drills the decay tooth and fills based on absolute necessity. The teeth I had filled felt like he basically just ate whatever good tooth was around the decay along with the decay and just filled it all. Tiny spot cavities turned into full composite caps over 3 teeth. There is 0 way to fix that without drilling more good tooth. Not acceptable. These are the only teeth I get. I just hope he got all the decay because I now genuinely fear there will be decay under these fills. That is not a sign of a good dentist. The 3 stars are because it's nearly impossible these days to get a consultation, a cleaning, and fills all in the same appointment. That and the billing seemed clear.

MyDental is great! It’s been awhile since i’ve been back to the dentist and I have quite a huge phobia. They walked me through the whole process and were super helpful and kind ! I understood everything they were talking about and they made sure I was doing good the whole time ! Definitely will be coming back!

1st visit on 2024: I love everything about MyDental in San Marcos, we are new patients. The front desk staff, hygienist and Doctor G are so amazing, confident and happy! I’m so satisfied with the technology used, the cleanliness, the great service and the dynamic they all have as a team. They all make you feel like it is not the first visit. I wish the best for My Dental staff and doctor and see you in 4 months :-) 2nd visit: Amazing service and care plan as always! 3rd visit: I had an emergency and Doctor Atul Gulati and the entire staff took really good care of me and presented me with a revised plan for my emergency. Great dentist office! Everyone was very welcoming and extremely friendly.

Best dentist experience I’ve ever had! I had a lot of anxiety before coming to the appointment but from the moment I walked in and during, you can feel and see the value that is put on providing a state of comfortability for the patients. Very sensory friendly and provides a “menu” of different things to make the experience more calming such as dark glasses, stress balls, and headphones.

I can't explain what a relief it was to find a dentist close to our new home! My anxiety usually goes crazy when I walk into the dentist office--but between the receptionist, office manager, dental assistant & Dr--i was able to stay calm in their serene atmosphere. What a breath of fresh air to see a practice that understands medical anxiety and has solutions in place to help!! I was disappointed on not seeing Dr Hudgins. But todays dentist was kind and thorough. Theyve done a good job of taking care of our dental needs!! Thank you so much!!
