Tooth pain doesn’t wait for a convenient time — and neither do we. Our San Marcos dental team provides same-day emergency care Monday through Saturday, serving students, families, and visitors throughout the Hays County community. Same-day emergencies welcome — we’ll get you out of pain fast.
Whether you’re a Texas State student who cracked a tooth during an intramural game, a family visiting the San Marcos Premium Outlets, or a commuter on I-35 who woke up with unbearable tooth pain — dental emergencies don’t wait for a good time. Delaying treatment only makes the problem worse.
At myDental San Marcos, we set aside time every day for emergency patients. You don’t need to drive to Austin or wait until Monday — same-day emergency dental care is right here on the I-35 North Frontage Road, minutes from Texas State University.

Not sure if your situation needs urgent attention? If you’re dealing with pain, something feels broken, or you notice swelling, call us right away. Here are the most common emergencies we treat at our San Marcos office.
Throbbing, persistent pain that doesn’t respond to over-the-counter medication and interferes with daily life
Cracks, chips, or fractures from sports injuries, accidents, or biting down on something unexpectedly hard
Time is critical — a knocked-out tooth can often be reimplanted if treated within 30–60 minutes
Swelling, fever, or a pus-filled bump on the gums — dental infections can spread rapidly without treatment
Our San Marcos dentists are equipped to diagnose and resolve most dental emergencies in a single appointment. Here’s what we can handle for you today.
Bonding, temporary crowns, or splinting for cracked, chipped, or loosened teeth. We restore both function and comfort the same day you visit.
When infection reaches the nerve inside your tooth, a root canal eliminates the infection and preserves your natural tooth, avoiding extraction.
When a tooth is too severely damaged to be saved, we perform a safe extraction and discuss replacement options such as implants or bridges.
We drain abscesses, prescribe targeted antibiotics, and address the root cause to stop the infection from spreading to surrounding tissues.
We’ve streamlined the process so you spend less time waiting and more time healing. Here’s what to expect when you contact our San Marcos office for urgent care.
Call (512) 815-2254 and let us know you have an emergency. We’ll fit you into the schedule the same day — often within the hour.
Your dentist examines the affected area, captures digital X-rays for a clear picture of the problem, and determines the most effective course of action. We explain every option before starting treatment.
Your comfort comes first. Whether it’s local anesthesia, medication, or draining a painful abscess, we prioritize getting you out of pain right away.
Most emergency cases are fully resolved in one visit. If additional treatment is needed, we’ll schedule your follow-up and send you home with clear aftercare instructions.
When you’re in pain, you need a dental team that can see you now — not next week. Here’s why patients across San Marcos, Kyle, Wimberley, and the Texas State community choose myDental for emergency care.
We hold time every day for urgent cases. Call in the morning and we’ll have you in the chair the same day.
Dental emergencies don’t follow a weekday schedule. We’re open Saturday 9 AM – 3 PM for urgent care when you need it most.
Have an emergency? Call our San Marcos office and we’ll work to get you seen as quickly as possible.
Nitrous oxide and oral sedation options keep anxious patients calm and comfortable during emergency procedures.
We accept most PPO insurance, offer flexible financing with easy monthly payments, and have the myDental Care Plan for uninsured patients.
From emergency treatment to follow-up crowns, implants, or root canals — everything is handled under one roof in San Marcos.

Pick up the tooth by the crown (top part), not the root. If possible, gently place it back in the socket. If that isn’t an option, keep it moist in milk or your own saliva. Then call us immediately at (512) 815-2254. The sooner you arrive, the better the chance of saving the tooth — ideally within 30 minutes.
If the chip is causing pain, has sharp edges cutting your tongue or cheek, or if you can see pink or red tissue inside the tooth, it’s definitely an emergency. Even a minor chip should be evaluated soon to prevent further damage. Call our office and we’ll let you know how quickly you need to come in based on what you describe.
