Dr. Jieun Jun, DMD

Dr. Jieun Jun, DMD, is a compassionate general dentist committed to helping every patient achieve optimal oral health and a smile they feel confident sharing. She believes good dentistry begins with listening — understanding each person’s goals, explaining options clearly, and giving patients the time and information they need to make decisions they feel good about.
Dr. Jun’s journey into dentistry began at Emory University, where she graduated with honors while training as a classical pianist. During her junior year, she joined a medical mission trip to Paraguay, providing care to communities with little access to it. That experience showed her how directly oral health shapes a person’s confidence, comfort, and quality of life, and it became the foundation of her decision to pursue dentistry.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where she was honored with the school’s prosthodontics award for excellence in restorative care. She later returned to UAB as a clinical adjunct faculty member, mentoring students in the clinical skills that shape their careers.
Dr. Jun provides comprehensive care across a wide range of dental services and is dedicated to continuous learning, regularly pursuing continuing education and advanced training. Her commitment to professional growth ensures her patients benefit from modern techniques, advanced technology, and treatment tailored to their individual needs.
Fluent in English and Korean, with a working knowledge of Spanish, Dr. Jun is proud to serve patients from diverse backgrounds and to ensure every person feels understood throughout their care.
Outside the office, Dr. Jun enjoys playing the piano, pickleball, hiking, reading, and staying active. The discipline and patience she developed as a musician carry into her clinical work, making her a trusted partner in helping patients achieve lasting oral health and confident smiles.
