Exceptional Dental office. Positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Dental anxiety is a common reason people avoid dentist visits. Guilty of this delay, I can relate to the reasoning.
My review from entrance to exit.
The entrance was welcoming, clean and quiet. Intake staff were professional and pleasant. (-):
During my X-ray there was 0 privacy provided. Multiple staff members passed the doorway to X-ray room (over 12x during NOMAD X-rays) and no one shut the door. Even when other patients stood in the doorway and watched me having oral X-rays completed with staff. People (patients and staff) smiled even said hello, no one provided privacy. This did not bother me, however may disturb someone else. Privacy is paramount in healthcare (regardless of field). (+):
Jazmin was very sweet and professional. She stayed with me from entrance to exit, her approach and professionalism provided a comfort to my anxiety. She provided clear education and details pre-during-post care. She even asked non-dental questions in between. This is an effective approach at distracting a patient that may be nervous. Jazmin initiated the exam portion of my visit. Jazmin was awesome and the perfect first impression for the exam portion of my visit. Nicely done Jazmin, nicely done! (-):
When the dental chair is facing the window, staff that enter the room should announce themselves. Door to exam rooms should not be opened and closed with the patients back facing door. Dental anxiety is common, providing a space of comfort for patients is key in reducing this anxiety. (+)
The office was very clean and welcoming.
Dr. T was exceptional. I prefer a “no fluff” approach and he delivered the results from my exam and treatment plan clearly & the identified priority areas with clear explanations. (-/+):
Hygienist may need a small reminder that a mask does not mean facial expressions and responses go unnoticed. I understand starting ann exam and having to pause due to a patients pain. However, as providers let us be guided to our response to changes in treatment during treatment. After exam hygienist provided education with a softened approach, education delivered quite proficiently. (-/+):
Treatment planner: when entering exam room for your portion an introduction is key. Giggling and smiling when I have to ask, “I’m sorry, who are you”? Does not give a feeling that you are competent In your job…. Response like:
“that’s weird-huh” “it’s like” “hmm, well that’s weird”, “ummmm I’ll ask” “but yeah”. A professional tone, delivering information with confidence and accuracy gives way to the patient feeling confident that information. Confusion is not a great feeling leaving the office. Everything provided was very clear…. Until my exit…. I guess (per the treatment planner), “yeah, if you wanna just like, um wait a bit or a few days, or check tomorrow or something like that, we may have more information on your next appointment”. ME: well I have some areas that are priority that I would like to get scheduled as soon as possible”…… yeah, so there will be like um like different charges, so like um if you give us some time, someone will like um, call or email you about that…. I stood at the desk waiting to pay. She returned: “oh yeah, so you’re like, um done, if there is a bill someone will like um, call or email you, thank you and have a great rest of your day…… Overall a great first visit. Small areas that can be addressed and make this clinic even better. I am excited to have found a dental office and (surprisingly for me) excited for my treatments. The team works as a team. Quiet rooms and very little disruptions/noise. Entertainment in the exam rooms gives way to a relaxing setting.

This place is very good, everyone is friendly, the only detail is the waiting time, you have to arrive 15 minutes early and the wait is 30 minutes or more. Otherwise everything is excellent, it would be good to adjust the time, for the wait at most 20 minutes.

I have been looking for a long-term dentist for a while since I lost my last guy. Emma and her team are freaking amazing. I plan on staying with her as long as she keeps being a dentist. I strongly recommend anybody looking for a dental group to come work with this team. They’re professional, considerate, empathetic, Amazing Have I mentioned amazing. Can’t say enough positive things about this team.
